New Web Site Live

We are pleased to be able to tell everyone that our new web site is now live. It's something that we have been wanting to do for some time now. We were well aware that our old site had looked a little tired for some time, but with everything else happening in the business, what with our expansion in the north and a growing customer base we hadn't really had the time to focus on this.

The revamped site has been designed to be much more in keeping with the Premier Shredding company branding and we think that the information about the company and it's services is laid out more logically and is easier to find. We are now able to keep visitors up to date with new offers and services through links to social networking sites and our blog. This is really key to us as the marketplace is changing constantly and we aim to keep one step ahead of our competitors providing the best service possible at the keenest prices.

This really just the start and we will be constantly adding to the site in the coming months providing customers with more information about our services and promotions. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date with our latest offers.

Old IT Equipment - Data Destruction and Recycling of Components

The disposal of IT equipment by businesses needs to be managed. For a start all IT equipment is subject to the WEEE regulations for the disposal of electric equipment in that all effort needs to be made to ensure that components are recycled. In addition to this, businesses need to ensure that any data stored on magentic media (disk drives, etc.) is destroyed so that it cannot fall into the wrong hands.

Although Premier Shredding started out as a specialist in secure destruction and recycling of paper waste, in recent years we have had requests from customers concerning the disposal of IT equipment and the destruction of any data held, and we have always been happy to oblige on a ad-hoc basis. We are now in a position to offer this service to all customers.

So why use Premier Shredding for your IT disposal? Well there are several reasons:

  • You get the same level of customer service and confidence that comes with working with one of the country's leaders in secure waste destruction. It is all that we do.
  • We hold all the necessary licences to handle IT waste
  • Look at what happens to IT equipment that we collect from you:
    • You will be provided with a Waste Transfer Note upon collection of the equipment.
    • When the equipment arrives at one of our secure processing depot any data storage media is removed. This is then destroyed using our powerful top of the range industrial shredding machines guaranteeing that no data can be recovered.
    • You will recieve a Certificate of Destruction for any magnetic media destroyed
    • Once any magnetic media is removed and destroyed all equipment is then transported to our recycling partners based in the UK, and anything that can be salvaged or recycled is stripped off for re-use.
  • Finally as we formally launch ot IT equipment disposal service we are offering a 50% discount on our usual rates until the end of April. This will be subject to our ability to collect as part of one of our standard paper collections. Call us to discuss your requirement.
So whatever your requirement in IT equipment disposal, make sure you call us before deciding on a service provider.

New Manchester Plant Now Up And Running!

Over the last couple of years we have been doing more and more business in the North of England. The demand for our services has now increased to such a level that we have opened a new processing plant in Manchester, which we are pleased to announce is now fully operational. With the capacity to shred in excess of 200 tonnes of confidential waste per week, this is a major investment for us that includes the installation of new shredding and baling equipment.

And as well as the opening of our Manchester plant we have been making some major investments to the equipment at our original Southampton depot.

This expansion of our operations means that we are now able to offer our full range of services across the whole of England and Wales, and will be able to provide a more responsive and flexible service to all of its customers, no matter where they are.

A new year and it looks like it will be an exciting one!

It’s looking like 2011 is going to be an exciting year for Premier Shredding. We have several new initiatives that will be coming to fruition in the first few months of the year. One of these is the opening of our new Manchester depot in January. This will give us the ability to extend our entire service to the whole of England and Wales and will mean that we can provide an even more flexible service to our customers in the north of England. We will let you know more about the new Manchester set up and other exciting developments in the coming weeks and months.

And Now - Free Shredding Services!

The global price for recycled paper has increased steeply in previous months.
Always looking to innovate and keep one step ahead of the competition, this has allowed Premier Shredding to look at its business model and how it can support businesses during these difficult times, and we can now offer a free shredding service to all customers.

There will be a small transportation cost for pick up but this can be avoided if you arrange to deliver the waste to one of our depots yourself, and this offer won’t be suitable for businesses that need a personalised collection service. Visit our web site for further details.

This free service may not last for ever, but as long the paper prices remain at current levels, we promise that we will continue to offer this service. So if you were thinking of having a clear out of old documentation, but have been putting it off to avoid the cost, make the most of the current global demand for recycled paper now. Call us today on 0845 601 0551 or fill out our contact form and we will get back to you.

Finally, we would like to wish all our customers a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
